As we close out the summer it's only right that we cooked up an AFTR PRTY Radio featuring some of our favorite tracks that dropped this season. Our latest AP Radio specifically looks at emerging genre-benders and artists who refuse to be put in a singular box. Binki- “Hotel Window”

BETWEEN FRIENDS- “What’s Up”

BETWEEN FRIENDS is an enigmatic musical trio that has been captivating listeners with their unique blend of indie-pop and dreamy electronic sounds. With siblings Savannah, Brandon, and drummer Brennan, BETWEEN FRIENDS weaves a mesmerizing sonic tapestry that beautifully merges introspective lyrics with infectious melodies.

Recently, BETWEEN FRIENDS has set the music scene abuzz with their latest project, Haircut. This collection of songs takes listeners on an evocative journey through the highs and lows of life's emotional spectrum. "What's Up" is a song that explores the intricacies of human emotions and relationships. Its pensive words and ethereal sound create a captivating and emotionally resonant listening experience. Turnstile & BADBADNOTGOOD, Blood Orange - “Alien Love Call”

Turnstile is an American hardcore punk band formed in 2010 from Baltimore, Maryland. Known for their energetic live performances and a unique blend of hardcore punk and alternative rock influences, Turnstile has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following in the punk and hardcore scenes. Although, their sound incorporates elements of post-punk, funk, and alternative rock, resulting in a more melodic and groove-oriented take on hardcore.

Turnstile released their debut album, Nonstop Feeling, in 2015, which received widespread acclaim for its innovative approach to hardcore punk. Turnstile's music often features catchy hooks, anthemic choruses, and a sense of positivity that sets them apart in the hardcore scene.

Their most recent project, New Heart Designs, is a collab tape with jazz fusion and music savants BADBADNOTGOOD featuring five reworked tracks from their Grammy-nominated 2021 album GLOW ON. On "Alien Love Call," the group's stand-out single from 2021 featuring Blood Orange, BBNG's ability to create a unique and genre-blending style of music combining elements of jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music revamps the track into something entirely new.

Lou Val “Clementine”

Paris Texas “PANIC!!!”

Paris Texas represents a new wave of artists who are pushing the boundaries of music, experimenting with genres, and tackling complex themes. Their innovative approach has resonated with listeners and critics alike, making them a group to watch in the evolving landscape of contemporary music.

Despite their relatively short time releasing music, Paris Texas has received critical acclaim for their distinctive punk-inspired sound. They've been recognized as one of the exciting new acts pushing the bounds of hip-hop and punk including genre-blending additions of hip-hop beats, punk and rock guitar riffs, and electronic elements, creating a sound that's both energetic and experimental.

Mid Air, the group's sophomore album has continued to incorporate all different music elements, which are authentic to their brand. "PANIC!!!" is a prime example on the project that shows off their ability to infuse multiple genres into a single, high-impact track. It's a testament to their willingness to challenge conventions and create music that resonates with listeners who appreciate bold and genre-defying sounds. The song features a driving beat, distorted guitar riffs, and aggressive vocals, creating an intense and chaotic sonic experience.
