"Rough Cut" ep. 1: Claire Yotts
On our first episode, we spent over 24 hours with the very talented artist/songwriter @claireyotts in her hometown of Boston and the suburbs of West Hingham. Recently graduating from college and starting a full-time job, Claire has had to find balance between her adult life and her intense passion for music, and we were lucky enough to see firsthand how she navigates her two lives seamlessly. Boston has always been an overlooked city when talking about its significance to rap music and culture, and we got to see Claire express how much the city and the people around it have supported her throughout her journey. Following a music video shoot in Boston’s North End with one of her longtime homies @bynakomus for her single “Maria’s Interlude”, Claire invited us to her home and even cooked us a delicious meal with her girlfriend as we continued to get more insights into what brought her to this point in her career as a musical artist. Diving further into Claire’s personal life and upbringing, we were able to see what has truly inspired her genreless approach to music and what continues to inspire the lyrics and message she looks to portray in her music. Check out the full video out NOW @claireyotts , an amazing talent who is just getting started on her way to becoming a star ⭐

Artist Spotlight: LEED Full Interview
On the latest Artist Spotlight, we caught up with New York rapper-producer Khaleed Pritchard, better known as LEED as he walked us through his journey as an artist that started when he was just 8 YEARS OLD! Growing up all over New York City and Mount Vernon, LEED has always bet on himself and attributes his success to hard work, determination, and constant sacrifices he has had to make to become the artist he is today. When LEED decided he wanted to take music seriously, he locked in and learned how to play the keyboard and drums before enrolling in Mercy College full-time to study music and audio engineering. 9 years and a couple hundred thousand streams later, LEED is still dedicating all his time to his craft and talked to us about new music and projects on the way, including his most recent release in almost a year, "Bankin' on Me" out on streaming now. Follow us at @aftrprty.ny for more stories and coverage of your favorite creatives! https://linktr.ee/aftrprty Follow LEED: Twitter: https://twitter.com/leedisagod IG: https://www.instagram.com/leedisagod/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/leedisagod -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Directed by Jalen Carr Host: Semaj McLeod DP: Joe Vaccaro Asst. AP in the Wild: Laylit (ep. 1)
Laylit ( @laylitparty ), or “the night of” in Arabic, is a party celebrating Middle Eastern and North African culture and its diaspora, based in NYC & Montreal, but expanding to DC and Detroit later this year. Hosted at the entirety of Brooklyn’s warehouse turned multi-level venue Elsewhere ( @elsewhere ), Laylit featured 12 different artists and performers from all over the 🌎 playing the hottest Afghan/Persian sounds with each zone curating to different vibes throughout the night. After talking to people about the event it is very apparent Laylit is a one of a kind event to Middle Eastern and North African cultures. The party returns to Elsewhere this Friday, March 17th with a new lineup of artists and is sure to be a night to remember. 🎙: @chef.boyaflee 📹: @adilpickles Prod. Asst.: @aliza22
